How to Go Big By Choosing Small
Opulent ‘Brocade’ fabrics of Renaissance Italy, 18th Century French ‘Domino papers’ and a dirty sounding Medieval weaving pattern
These are the eclectic inspirations behind ‘Small Prints’, a selection of authentic and timeless wallpaper designs that celebrate the diversity and versatility of the small-scale pattern, released by Bruce Fine Papers as the latest additions from their archives.
Combining centuries of pattern heritage, re-worked and re-coloured for the modern interior, these small prints are an effective way of adding depth and texture into your home, without the fear of a big and overpowering statement. Handcrafted to order in Lincoln by a small family business, and available in any bespoke colourways you can think of, choosing small has never been so good.
To celebrate the launch of our Small Prints Collection, we had the pleasure of taking over the Simon Playle showroom, Langton Street, London, for an evening of drinks, nibbles and, of course, wallpaper, kindly hosted by their wonderful team.
We had the exciting task of dressing the showroom window display for the next month. Playing with the making process at the heart of our heritage craft, we repurposed authentic machinery, the leftover and colourful trim from making our collection, and even materials we use every day, which Ellie ‘sourced’ from the workshop. As well as making some original BFP props to further embed our trademark as makers.
